Five Halloween Costume DIY's

Halloween is right around the corner and I am sure you guys are already thinking of costumes. These are five cute DIY's with things you probably have in your closet.  They are great for Halloween parties or passing out candy at your house. Enjoy!

#1: Audrey Hepburn
Audrey Hepburn is one of the most iconic fashionistas. She is a timeless beauty with timeless style. This costume consists of things you probably have in your closet: a LBD and black heels (or flats).  If you don't own pearls you can find very inexpensive ones at a costume store.  I assuming you don't have  black gloves, but these can be found online or in a costume store as well.  To get Audrey's look, wear a topknot and winged eyeliner.

#2: Queen Elsa
Frozen is arguably one of my favorite movies from this past year.  A Halloween DIY would not be complete without at least one costume from Frozen. Queen Elsa wears such beautiful outfits throughout the movie so I thought she would be fun to DIY. To look like Elsa, you need blue and white lace items, white shoes, and white gloves.  Try to find some snowflake themed things like the earrings below. If you want you kind find some blue fabric (maybe with glitter...) and a crown too.  Make sure to wear sparkly blue eyeshadow and braid your hair like Elsa's.  And then you can let it go....

#3: Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift has been rocking some seriously amazing outfits as of lately.  She is obsessed with crop tops and skirts.   She has also recently been toting her cat Olivia Benson with her. You probably own all of these things in the costume (maybe not the stuffed animal white cat though). To get the look just wearing a crop top, skirt (even better if it is the same pattern as the top), pumps, and a (stuffed animal) white cat. Make sure to wear your hair in loose curls.  Go with winged eyeliner and a nude lip.

#4: Chic Candy Corn
Hi yes, it is possible to look like chic candy corn.  This look is really simple and so so cute.  Just wear a white top, an orange skirt (or jeans or shorts) and yellow shoes.  To look really chic I would wear a pretty skirt and pumps.  You can do whatever you want with your hair, but a topknot would be cute because it looks like the top point of the candy corn.  If you are bold, go for some orange lipstick.

#5: Cher Horowitz from Clueless
So in my opinion, Cher is probably the most iconic teenage character in any 90s movie. I am pretty much obsessed with her.  There are tons of takes on this costume (due to all the outfits in the movie), but this is my version. Wear a plaid skirt and thigh high black or white socks. Then add things you probably have in your own closet: a white button down, a black cardigan, and black flats or loafers. If you want you can wear a headband and carry around a fluffy pen.  Make sure to wear your hair down and straight.  Go for very natural make up like Cher.  AS IF!

I hope you enjoyed these costume ideas and found them helpful!
Stay tuned for more Halloween DIY's coming soon!
Much love,
Grace
